What a life I’ve lived.  No joke, God has blessed me way more than I deserve.  I grew up in Crestview, FL, then attended Mobile College in Mobile, AL.  After graduation, Wendy and I were married and then headed off to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While there, we accepted our first full time youth ministry position at Northlake Baptist in Garland.  We spent 7 1/2 years great years there before coming to Johnson Ferry here in Georgia to do Middle School Ministry where we’ve served over 7 years now.
We have two awesome kids, Dillon and Abby.
This blog, Understanding Middle, is all about my journey as a middle school pastor and the bumps, bruises, and lessons that come with the job… a job I just happen to be crazy about!
